01.03.10: Pressmeddelelse for "Guddommelig Galskab - GREATEST SHIT"

Guddommelig Galskab is still going strong after 18 years in the pit, and they just released their 4th album "KOGT FOR HÅRDT", the fastest and most hardcore of their albums so far, with 13 ripping songs boiled down on one 7" vinyl.

Guddommelig Galskab was created on the brink of the last millennium and within a few months, they were already notorious on account of their extreme stage performances as well as their debut album ‘Dansk punk under al kritik’ (Danish Punk is just not on) from 1999, which was something as rare as an authentic punk record in Danish, which helped kick off the pulsating punk scene at Ungdomshuset (Jagtvej 69), placing Copenhagen as Capital no. 1 on the global punk map in the beginning of the millenium with bands like Amdi Petersens Arme, HUL and Young Wasteners.

Since then, Guddommelig Galskab have performed hundreds of gigs, have been the driving force behind three punk compilations while also producing the double album ‘LORT’ (Shit) in 2006 and the album ‘Ånden fra 69’ (The Spirit of 69) after the clearing of Ungdomshuset, Jagtvej 69 in 2008. In 2010, Melting Love Records released their first CD ‘Greatest SHIT’ with 37 songs from the first decade of doing their dirty work.

Guddommelig Galskab perform snotty old-school punk like the Dead Kennedies, Exploited and Sods, but their music is greatly varied and although it’s always hard-hitting, every song has a marked melodic touch that’ll remain and reverberate within your brainwaves. The band’s Danish lyrics have nailed Danish society as well as the punk stage since 1998 and the concerts often become intoxicating sing-along parties that you’ll never forget – if you actually remember anything the next day, that is
